From the minute I open the big door and nestle into the comfy couch, sip my spritzer and wipe my brow with the cold towel, all the tension of the week disappear and I know I am in for a wonderful experience.

The professionalism of the stylists is without doubt, it is the extra touches with the quality of the refreshments on offer, the little pampering touches that make my hair appointments a treat.

I have been recommending Helmet Hair Salon since they first opened to all the newcomers in Darwin.  Some have moved interstate and will still make a booking when they return on holidays – that’s the loyalty they engender.

I had never been disappointed in either my colour, cut or the way I had been welcomed at 

Helmet Hair Studio.  Being new to Darwin I did however recently try another salon and was so unhappy with my treatments that I am returning to without doubt, ‘The best Hair Salon in the Northern Territory'.  Sorry I even considered leaving  you............... 

 

Helmet Hair Studio is a business I would not hesitate to recommend. Just yesterday I had an appointment at Helmet that was professional and enjoyable from beginning to end. My stylist was on time (definitely important when juggling a hair makeover between meetings), efficient, friendly and did an AMAZING job on my crazy hair. Best testimonial of all - three people at work have asked me today where I get my hair done! The salon has a relaxed atmosphere and staff that go out of their way to look after you - and the Tim-tams are great! I will most definitely be back.

 

Everytime I come in for my appointment with Randy I come away feeling younger, regenerated and beautiful. I do not know if I am singled out for the wonderful shoulder massage while my colour is on or the massage is for everyone, (I don’t want to know) all I know is that he is treating me to something special. Also the head massage whilst washing my hair. Thank you Randy, so much.

I also feel most welcome on arrival with the juice and chilled hand towel.

I have always come away from the salon feeling uplifted and happy.

I have been a client of Helmet Hair Studio for several years now and I love it. I am a hairdresser’s worst nightmare, long hair, extremely fussy.  Let me say that at Helmet Hair I love when I walk in I am offered a refreshing drink and moist towel; I love the coffee that is made perfectly for me. I love the skilfulness, professionalism and perfection of the staff, I love that they actually listen to what I am asking for and I have full confidence in all of the staff with my long locks.   I especially love the serenity of the Salon.  At the end of my appointment at Helmet hair I really feel like I have been pampered.  The whole experience is a stress free, relaxing time.  I highly recommend this salon to all my friends and family all the time!!  Best Salon I have been to in Darwin, total satisfaction guaranteed and Randy is my number one!

 

I have been getting my colour done at helmet hair studio for 2 years now and I live in Katherine. This means i travel up for the appointment even if it means taking a sickie. I would not trust my hair to any other salon. On the occasions when I have gone somewhere closer to home, I end up in tears at Helmet where they make my hair beautiful again. Rachel is the best!

 

I have been a regular client with Helmet Hair Studio for some years now and have often been asked "where do I get my hair done?" and am always happy to tell them "Helmet".  This is not only a compliment to me but a great advertisement for Helmet.  As they say word of mouth is the very best advertisement.  You know the second question is coming and it does "which hairdresser at Helmut does your hair?".  I reply "Stephanie, however I have on occasion had other technicians at the salon do my hair and have always been very happy with the results".

In my opinion all the staff are experienced good technicians, friendly and most of all professional.  The quality I notice the most is that the standard of service provided is of a high standard and it is always maintained.  This is to be rewarded (not sure how) as there are not many retail providers in Darwin that are able to consistently maintain a high level of service over a long period of time.

Further, even since Susan has been away with her new baby (in other words the boss is not on site) there has been no lowering of the standard and the care of the client has been maintained.

I have never written a testimonial before as I have never been asked but have done so this time because I believe it is important for the staff to know that they are doing a great job and should be given positive feedback.   

As long as Helmet stays the same I will continue to recommend Helmet to friends and family.

 

I have had many tremendous experiences at Helmet. As Eliza mostly looks after me, she is an incredible hairdresser with outstanding attention to detail, always recommending what to do with my hair, always leaving my hair in pristine condition. The staff always listen to you, if you want a change of style, colour etc.  

They always make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. Giving you a refreshing shooter on arrival and a fresher towel.

Video’s to watch while you’re in the massage chair, and great relaxing ministry of sound music playing. Not to mention a selection of teas and real coffee along with a choc biscuit.  Fit for a Queen.

I would highly recommend Helmet to anyone wanting great hair and great service.

I must admit I don’t trust anyone when it comes to my hair; however my first experience with Helmet hair put a stop to that.
I have never been in better hands, than I am with the staff at Helmet hair.
The staff are helpful and welcoming, I always feel like a NEW WOMEN!!!

Going to the hairdressers has always been a big deal for me; I am nervous and unsure of whether I will be comfortable and confident with the end result.   Kat has changed that for me, her knowledge of hair, products and styles is spot on and up to date.  His interpersonal skills are great and make you feel immediately comfortable.

I am inspired by her presence she always looks ‘The part’ and is professional on every level and she has great hair!!

My daughter who is eleven thinks she is “cool” too which is really saying something.

Thanks for looking after all my hair needs. I enjoy my “Me” time when I get to the salon. The head and neck massage Randy gives eases all my tension and the styling tips I get from your team are always useful. I just need to get there more often.

I left Darwin for Canberra in 2003 and I am still looking for a place down here as good as you guys.

Helmet hair have highly trained staff and use fantastic products, but the reason I continue to go back is because of the extra touches like the comfortable leather massage chairs and great coffees.

 

I wont have my hair done anywhere else now. I always feel really happy with the entire experience, the staff are amazing and the feeling in the salon is very comfortable. My hair is absolutely the centre of attention when I go to Helmet and as a result it always turns out exactly how I want it.

I have been going to Helmet Hair since 2005. I live in Adelaide and travel up to Darwin every 3 – 6 months and part of my travelling plans I book into Helmet Hair with Angela.

From the moment you enter Helmet Hair, you are greeted warmly & made to feel special you are offered a refreshment & chilled face washer to start your visit, how wonderful.

Angela is an angel as her name says, from the massaging chair to the head massage at the basin the lights are dimmed and you just float away, it is true pampering, her styling technique is so gentle you wonder if you are at the hairdressers generally with curly hair like I have, you expect to be pushed & pulled to get it straight but at Helmet’s this does not happen, you walk out feeling great & total relax.

If you want a exceptional & complete salon experience, I cannot recommend Helmet Hair highly enough!!!

Just want to let you know that I came to Helmet on the recommendation from a friend and have never looked back! In 3 odd years that I have been coming I am made to feel welcome from the second I walk in the door! The service is second to none! Randy is my dream hairdresser! He makes me feel and look “Fabulous” every single time…whether it be a colour for regrowth or the full sha bang! A visit to Helmets today sent me home feeling a million dollars, Daneilla was very professional and attentive in getting my colour just right and another great cut from Susan, its always value for money from the moment I walk in the door because I feel like I get more than a cut and colour, its a very enjoyable experience and no matter how busy the staff make you feel special.

Having curly hair, I once dreaded going to the hairdresser as I always seemed to walk out looking like a poodle. That changed when I found Helmet-and Randy! It is always an indulgent and enjoyable experience to come for a cut and I always feel a million bucks when I leave- thanks!

 

Just thought I would let you know of the great experience I recently had at your salon 'Helmet Hair Studio'.

After having made a last minute booking for a quick trim and tidy up, Eliza was only too willing to fit me in.

Upon arriving at the salon, I was greeted with warm smiles and a very welcoming feeling from all staff, which immediately made me feel more than welcome. Randy was quick to come and see me to my seat and brought to me a cool refreshing towel and a lovely little drink to cool me down.

After discussing what Randy would do with my mop of silvery hair he then made me a cup of coffee, which came with a Tim tam!

As I would normally have a quick cut and wash from my local hairdresser (a few thousand km's away in SA), it was really nice to sit back and be pampered for a while. Your massage chairs and Randy's head massage were enough to send me off to the land of nod, it was so relaxing.

For the whole experience it never seemed that your staff wanted to just turn us over as another customer but truly treated me like a client, and that makes all the difference.

So thank you to all the staff at Helmet and special thanks to Randy for making me look half decent once more and a head massage that I would return for alone.
